From crickets to tarantulas, Portland’s pop-up ‘Pestaurant’ booth at OMSI’s Harvest Festival Saturday, September 27th, gave visitors a chance to bite back at bugs.
Treats ranged from sweet to savory. Popular bug bites included cricket flour chocolate chip cookies, white chocolate covered worms, ants on a celery log and sweet chili grasshoppers.
For the more brave of stomach, jars of dehydrated tarantulas, giant water beetles and rhinoceros beetles were available for tasting.
