CONYERS – Bug lovers and insect fanatics will have a chance to indulge their passion for arthropods at an annual event held in celebration of the tiny, yet powerful creatures.

For the ninth year running, the Rockdale County Insectival will feature bugs that are native to the local area, as well as insects from across the globe at the Board of Elections facility on May 10. Tropical insects, mealworms, crickets and Madagascar hissing cockroaches are just a few of the bugs that attendees can observe at the event, which is sponsored by the Rockdale County Cooperative Extension and 4-H. A University of Georgia entomologist will be there to inform locals about the insects.
